Lex Wolnosc (Lex Libertas) is the simplest and the optimum vision of education law. Implementation details are secondary and may depend on democratic decisions.

The three principles of Lex Libertas:

  1. the coercion in education is forbidden
  2. children education is supported with school vouchers
  3. the existing education system in the hand of the state is governed by local authority

Due to low social support, Lex Libertas is unlikely to be submitted and passed by the parliament without major effort, esp. on the part of students and educators.

Possible pathways:

  • referendum: it is unlikely to succeed as majority of population believe in the myth that lack of coercion leads to illiteracy (see: Lex Libertas to nie analfabetyzm)
  • electronic referendum (generator)
  • lawsuit (e.g. single case of a wronged child, using human rights as the basis)
  • petition to the human rights spokesman (RPO)
  • petition to the child's rights spokesman (RPD)
  • school strike: see Wiosna Uczniow 2024
  • round table of education: there were many and the one that produced #LexLibertas should be the last
  • citizen bill: it requires 100,000 adult signatures in 3 months, which is a monumental task; student signatures could be symbolic and a strike excuse
  • parliamentary bill submitted by MPs: 15 MPs are needed, we might convince 3-4 at the moment
  • parliamentary bill presentation at the Education Commission
  • parliamentary petition (the one submitted in 2022 was dismissed summarily)
  • other petitions (who?)
